Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Capy Clear ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information. We built Capy Clear with privacy as a default: your checklist data, habit history, and proof photos are stored entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Create — Stored Locally on Your Device

All content you create in Capy Clear is stored in a private SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this data and it is never transmitted to our servers. This includes:

  • Checklists and checklist items — the names and icons of your morning rituals, departure checklists, or any custom list you build.
  • Ritual sessions — timestamps of when you started, completed, or skipped a session, and which items you checked or skipped.
  • Proof photos— timestamped photos you take to confirm you completed a checklist item. Photos are saved to your device's local storage only and are never uploaded anywhere.
  • Planned departures — departure names, scheduled times, and reminder preferences you set.
  • App settings — your onboarding status, departure frequency preferences, and whether you have unlocked lifetime access. Stored locally; never synced to a cloud account.

1.2 Camera and Photo Library

The App requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you take and save proof photos for checklist items. Photos are stored in the App's private local storage. We do not transmit, upload, or share your photos with anyone.

1.3 Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the App schedules local push notifications on your device (for example, a daily 2 PM reminder or a departure alert). These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device; no notification content or scheduling data is sent to our servers.

1.4 Audio

The App plays ambient sounds. Audio playback is handled entirely on your device. We do not record or transmit audio.

1.5 In-App Purchase Data (RevenueCat)

Capy Clear offers a one-time Lifetime Access purchase through Apple App Store and Google Play. We use RevenueCat to process and verify in-app purchases. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:

  • An anonymous app-user identifier (a random UUID generated by the SDK).
  • Your purchase receipt from Apple or Google (used to verify entitlement).
  • Your purchase status and entitlement history.

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment card details — those remain with Apple or Google. RevenueCat's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

The actual payment transaction is handled by Apple or Google. Please review their privacy policies for information on how they handle payment data:

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit about what we do not do:

  • We do not require an account or collect your name or email address.
  • We do not use advertising networks or sell your data to any third party.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar services).
  • We do not use crash-reporting services that send device or session data off-device.
  • We do not access your contacts, location, or microphone.
  • We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework or request your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — no cross-app tracking takes place.

3. How We Use Information

The limited data that leaves your device (purchase verification via RevenueCat) is used solely to:

  • Verify and activate your Lifetime Access entitlement.
  • Allow you to restore a purchase if you reinstall the App or change devices.

All other data stays on your device and is used only to operate the App's features for you locally.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

  • RevenueCat — as described in Section 1.5, solely for purchase verification.
  • Legal obligations — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data (checklists, sessions, photos, settings) lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

  • Deleting individual checklists, items, or photos from within the App.
  • Uninstalling the App — this removes the local database and all associated data from your device.

Purchase records held by RevenueCat are retained in accordance with their data-retention policy. To request deletion of your RevenueCat purchase record, contact us at hustlejamdev@gmail.com and we will submit the request on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding personal data we process:

  • Right of access — to know what personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion of personal data.
  • Right to restriction — to request we limit processing of your data.
  • Right to object — to object to processing of your personal data.
  • Right to data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format.

Because the vast majority of your data exists only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App or by uninstalling it. For data held by RevenueCat (purchase records), contact us at hustlejamdev@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Your Rights (California — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
  • Delete personal information we hold about them.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information. To make any other request, email us at hustlejamdev@gmail.com.

9. Security

Your data is stored in the App's private local storage, which is sandboxed by the operating system and inaccessible to other apps. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect any data in transit (e.g., RevenueCat API calls use TLS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take your privacy seriously and use appropriate safeguards.

10. International Data Transfers

RevenueCat is headquartered in the United States. When purchase data is sent to RevenueCat it is transferred to and processed in the US. RevenueCat participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and employs Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers as described in their privacy policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
